Best Halloween Activities in Provo!

The autumn colors, cooler weather, and fall festivities make Provo a spooktacular city! There are so many fun activities going on this time of year. I've put together a list of eight awesome events that are unique to Provo. Leave a comment and let me know what event you’re most excited for! And if you notice an event not listed, let me know and I'll get it added.


Provo Halloween Carnival

Provo Recreation Center

Saturday, October 26 | 4:00 - 6:40 pm & 7:20-10:00 pm $5 for adults and $4 for youth


Little ghosts and ghouls come out to play! The Recreation Center is hosting its annual Halloween Carnival. For one night the Recreation Center is transformed into the best Halloween party of the year. Recreation center members can pick up one free wristband per member with Pre-Registration. However, Pre-registration is only available until Friday, October 25. Members will have to pay full-price if they purchase tickets day-of on October 26. Make sure to snag them early! A wristband will allow access to 1 event time slot. If you wish to attend 2 event times you will need to purchase a second wristband. For more information visit the Facebook Event Page.


Buzzards and Bees Music Festival

Downtown Provo

Friday, October 25 & Saturday October 26 One ticket for all of it only $15 pre-sale ($20 day of)


Get ready for a music festival in Downtown Provo on Halloween weekend highlighting some of the best music in Utah! Local artists, musicians, and business goers show up to present their best spooky selves. Attendees will enjoy secret shows, street performers, costume contests, spooky storytelling, movie viewings, and a Goth Prom kickoff party. All within 4 blocks of each other in Downtown Provo. Halloween Lift Ride

Sundance Mountain Resort October 17-31 | Weekdays 7 pm – 10 pm, Fri/Sat 7 pm – 11 pm $25/person | $40/two people


This is the perfect Halloween activity! Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sundance while you soar over Halloween themed scenes and are greeted by costume-clad lift operators and actors. Provo Beach Boo Bash

Provo Beach at The Shops at Riverwoods Monday, October 28 | 5-8 pm


Join us for a free family fun-filled halloween night! We'll have a DJ, face painting, games, and trick or treating. Be sure to wear your best halloween costume (no masks please)! Trick-Or-Treat at Provo Towne Centre

Provo Towne Centre Thursday, October 31 | 10 am - 9 pm

Downtown Provo Trick-or-Treating

Center Street & University Avenue Thursday, October 31, 3-6 pm

Calling all Provo families!! Put on your best costumes and celebrate Halloween downtown. We will have local businesses handing out candy and lots of other free goodies along Center St and University Ave. We will also have a Halloween Carnival by Neighborhood Art Center on 100 E Center St. with face painting, pumpkin decorating, and carnival games! Pedal Provo Ghost Tours

Westside of Provo Cemetery October 25, 26 | 9:00 pm $15/person, $25/couple


Come for an unforgettable night of spooks and spokes as you journey through a scarier side of P-Town on your bicycle. Take a leisurely night time ride and discover all of Provo City’s ghost stories, haunted houses and local folklore. The Duchess of Malfi

The Castle Amphitheater (1300 E Center Street) October 25-26, 28, 31 | 7:30 pm (10:00 pm on Halloween Night) $10-$15


Grassroots is back again for the annual Halloween event! Jacobean revenge tragedy written by John Webster. Continuing their Halloween tradition they'll be playing at the Castle Amphitheatre above the Utah State hospital in Provo. Preshow begins at 7 and the show 7:30. Halloween Cruise

CLAS Ropes Course (3606 West Center) October 1-31, 6:30-9PM Monday-Thursday | 6:30-10PM Friday & Saturday


Family Friendly, Fun, Halloween Cruise. Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening on the Lower Provo River. You will see 100 Jack-o-lanterns lit up, hear a story, feel the cool evening air, get a treat from a Pirate who happens to attack the ship! October 1 – 31. First cruise leaves at 6:30 pm Monday through Saturday, and then every half hour until 9:00 Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 Friday and Saturday. *Photo by the Daily Herald.
