Come see the concept design for the new Delta Gateway Park! We’re hosting an Open House on Wednesday, April 10 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Provo High School.
Our Design Committee (made up of Provo's Parks and Recreation Department, members of the community, our consultant Blu Line Designs, and the Utah Reclamation Mitigation & Conservation Commission) will answer community questions and review the concept design.

I will not be able to attend the open house so I will give my feedback here. This looks like a lovely park that will enhance the beauty and recreational value of the lower Provo River. As someone who frequently paddles on the Provo river I would like to recommend that the bridges are constructed high enough so that there are several feet of clearance under them when the river is at its highest. Also please make sure that the channel is designed so that there is a large eddy on the side of the river where you are building the river access. Without an eddy the river access would be less safe.
