I’m thrilled to invite you and your family to an event that’s been years in the making – the grand opening of Provo’s Epic Sports Park this Saturday, September 21st, at 10 a.m. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind celebration!
This 100-acre park is more than just a collection of fields; it’s a game-changer for our community. We’ve designed it to bring people together and create opportunities for everyone, from local athletes to businesses and families. With 21 multi-use fields and a soon-to-be completed 45-court pickleball facility, Epic Sports Park will be the largest regional sports park in Utah and one of the biggest in the entire Intermountain West. That’s something to be proud of!
To kick things off, we’re going all out. Picture this: a skydiver descending from the heavens, delivering a soccer ball right into the action! We’ll also have pyrotechnics, hundreds of excited kids, and our very own Zippy, the Parks and Recreation mascot, to keep the energy high.
This park is more than just a sports facility; it’s an investment in our future. We know how much our local athletes have needed this. With over 330 teams competing for space on just 11 fields, the demand was simply too high. Epic Sports Park isn’t just a solution to this, it’s a step forward in making Provo the place for sports tourism in Utah. Tournaments are already scheduled, and we’re expecting the park to bring $40 million annually into our regional economy. That means more business for our local shops, hotels, and restaurants—and more growth for Provo.
But we didn’t just focus on size. We designed Epic with you in mind. Families traveling to tournaments will find easy parking, clear navigation, and open spaces designed to reduce traffic congestion. It’s a park built for convenience, efficiency, and—most importantly—fun!
