Provo has been recognized as one of the Greenest Cities in Utah by Insurify! This award recognizes the contributions of Provo residents towards minimizing our city’s carbon footprint through responsible car ownership and driving habits.
Insurify’s data scientists analyzed over 1.5 million vehicles input into their site by auto insurance shoppers. They analyzed factors including fuel efficiency, engine type, annual miles driven, commuting patterns, and count of cars per household. Their resulting list identifies the five communities in each state with the lowest average environmental impact score.
Statistics show that vehicles represent one of the single greatest sources of polluting emissions in the United States, so our award shows the world that Provo is having a meaningful positive impact on the environment.
