Provo Shines as a Top Destination for Millennials in Utah

Recently, Provo was recognized as one of the top cities in Utah for Millennials, according to a study by Smart Asset. This accolade is not just a statistic; it’s a testament to the vibrant community we are continually building here in Provo.

The study revealed that we’ve seen a 6% increase in our millennial population. This is significant, as it reflects the appeal of Provo to a generation known for its pursuit of innovation, community engagement, and quality of life. As your Mayor, I am thrilled to see young adults choosing Provo as their home, contributing to our diverse and dynamic community.

This trend is a clear indicator of what Provo has to offer. We have worked tirelessly to create a city that values education, supports technology and business growth, and cherishes community and culture. Our city is a hub for educational and professional opportunities, thanks to institutions like Brigham Young University and the growing technology sector in the region.

Furthermore, Provo’s rich cultural scene, outdoor activities, and commitment to sustainable living align well with the values and lifestyle sought by the millennial generation. Our efforts in enhancing public spaces, supporting local arts, and promoting community events have fostered an environment where every resident, regardless of age, can thrive and feel a sense of belonging.

As we celebrate this recognition, it also serves as a reminder of the work ahead. Our goal is to continue making Provo a city that not only attracts but also retains a diverse population. This includes further investment in housing, education, public services, and infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of our community.

We want Provo to be a place where the millennial generation, and indeed all generations, can find opportunities and enjoy a high quality of life. I am proud to be leading a city that is forward-thinking and inclusive. Let’s keep the momentum going as we work together to make Provo not just a city of choice for Millennials but a city of choice for everyone.
